I used R & J Motors for a bumper replacement.I was quoted a reasonable price over the phone, and told it included VAT. After having the work done, I was then charged the price I was told plus VAT. This amounted to me paying over 100 more than I was quoted. When I spoke to the manager he said he couldn't remember exactly what he had said on the phone, but I had to pay the full price. He refused to adhere to the price we had agreed over the phone. Despite it being his mistake, I offered to meet him halfway and said I would accept a 50 discount. He refused this also. This is disgraceful business practice and I will not use this garage again.
